To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1

Kobie, I know that there will come a day when I remember you and your loving canine companionship without feeling a profound loss. Today is not that day. Your transition into eternity yesterday has caused me to feel like I have been rushed into a new uninvited season of life.

But as always, I humbly bow to the Holy Will of God—knowing to everything—there is a season.

Today as I reflect on the 13 years that we shared. . . I smile. . . I laugh. . . I cry. I am thankful for all the wonderful memories, photos, and even a few videos. You were a most ideal companion and addition to my family. Your unwavering love was always given without hesitation.

I am thankful for my family and friends who respect my feelings. They have shared their condolences and support. For that I am grateful.

I am also thankful for my church/academy family for the kind words, prayers, and flowers.

Goodbye for now Kobie. . . since I choose to believe that dogs can go to heaven.

You made us laugh and you gave the best hugs.
Your hugs were warm and fuzzy.
You were my constant companion while I worked or studied in my home office.
You were an attentive listener.
You would calmly watch tv in the den all by yourself.
You would halfway consider my request… when I asked you not to chase the squirrels around the yard.
You enjoyed going to the beach if you could keep a safe distance from the ocean waves.
You sat up front on my lap to look out the window when we traveled. And the times you flew on an airplane you were the best behaved—with your little head sticking up out of the doggie carry-on tote.
Emily gave you doggie stairs for Christmas… your first winter in Vermont because the bed was too high for you to jump up on—as you did back home in Alabama.
Tommy and I had a hard time convincing you not to eat the snow when we lived in Vermont.
You enjoyed exploring the Rest Areas when we stopped for lunch during our travels.
You just gave me the look when you wanted another treat.
You seemed to smile before I would pick you up for a hug.
You and Benji have had so much fun traveling together since we moved to Florida. I know he is going to miss you too. Tommy enjoyed taking the two of you on walks and sightseeing.
You had a gentle wise temperament… Love you Kobie…
