What Would Jesus Want for Christmas?

Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice. ~ Psalm 112:5

As I was writing my Christmas list this year, curious, I wondered, “What would Jesus want for Christmas?”

While we can only infer what Jesus would want based on His teachings, here are some ideas:

  1. Love and Compassion (Mark 12:31):
    1. Volunteer at a local nursing home and spend time with older adults who may be lonely during the holidays.
    1. Visit and pray for someone sick at home or in the hospital.
    1.  Handwrite a personalized, thoughtful letter to friends and family, expressing gratitude and love.

Jesus’ teachings often emphasized love, kindness, service to others, forgiveness, peace, and spiritual growth. Gifts that embody these values, whether they are physical items or acts of service, are the things that Jesus would want for Christmas.

Suppose each of us engaged in just one of the seven items above. What a fantastic way to give Jesus a gift this Christmas!

God bless… I am Wiley’s granddaughter.
