May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.~ Romans 15:13
It is an honor to share a message of hope—a message of God’s love to those who are hurting, brokenhearted, and discouraged.
Many of us have walked through dark valleys, feeling alone, or faced challenges beyond our control. Maybe you are carrying burdens today that seem too heavy to bear. Perhaps you have wounds that feel like they will never heal. Let me remind you: You are not alone.
In Psalm 34:18, we are given a fantastic promise. It says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” God sees every tear, every sleepless night, and every unspoken plea for help. He draws near to us when we are hurting, closer than we could ever imagine. It is there that we rest in the shadow of the Almighty!
In times of despair, it is easy to think that our struggles define us. But I encourage you to shift your perspective. Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Even in our hurt, God is weaving something extraordinary for our benefit. He is molding us! Shaping us! And preparing us for a greater purpose.
Think about the apostle Paul. He faced shipwrecks, beatings, and imprisonment—things that could break anyone’s spirit. Yet he held on to God’s promises, knowing that nothing could separate him from the love of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:38-39). Like Paul, you must choose to hold on to your faith no matter the circumstances.
Isaiah 41:10 gives us a command and a promise: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” God’s strength is sufficient for us. When we call on Him through Jesus Christ, He steps in with His mighty power. He sustains us. He holds us together. Lean on Him, my sisters and brothers in Christ.
Also, 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 tells us, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” You may feel pressed, perplexed, or even struck down. But remember, through the power of Jesus, you are not destroyed. You are more than a conqueror. God has breathed resilience and hope into you. You will rise from this season stronger, wiser, and more radiant.
“Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created” (Esther 4:14).
You are not defeated. You are victorious! We serve the God who calms raging storms and turns darkness into light. So, trust His promises and plans. He is the source of your joy.
God bless… I am Wiley’s granddaughter.
