We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith;~ Romans 12:6
I pray your Christmas was merry. Happy Holidays as we look forward to the New Year!
As we leave 2022 behind—with its mix of joys and sorrows… successes and failures… blissful highs and tearful lows—we reaffirm our resolve to trust God as we look forward to 2023. Therefore, let us continue to embrace the blessings and abundance found in the love of Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 26:11, tells us, For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
For some, New Year’s Day is just another holiday. For many, it’s a time of deep reflection, on the past year and on the one ahead. As followers of Jesus, New Year’s Day has no fundamental biblical narrative about celebrating the day. However, many of us will make New Year’s resolutions to show what’s important to us and plan for the year ahead.
This year, in addition to some of the most common resolutions—exercise more, lose weight, get organized, learn a new skill, get a hobby, save more money, spend less money, quit smoking, spend more time with family and friends, travel more, read more—which are all worthy and admirable resolutions. Let’s consider the gifts that God has placed in us and be determined to exercise those gifts.
According to the Scriptures, these gifts include such ministries as faith, healing, prophecy, proclamation, teaching, administration, reconciliation, compassion, self-sacrificing service, charity, and encouragement of others. Remember, even if we are not sure what our spiritual gifts are, we all have them.
Thank you for reading this post. I hope that it has encouraged you. And in this new year… we all grow in grace and favor as we exercise our God-given gifts in accordance with our faith.
